The Client

The Public Policy team for Meta’s global brand has the herculean effort of ensuring they keep a pulse on the policy conversations related to their suite of technology offerings, no matter the location. Their team aims to showcase the positive impact of their platforms on small business owners, economies, and individuals, while educating lawmakers on new technologies to provide a well-rounded perspective for future guidance decisions.

The Partnership

For several years I've led my agency's team in supporting Meta's public policy team to bring public affairs narratives to life through personalized experiences that resonate with Meta's priority audiences. We've scaled our work globally while ensuring they resonate locally within complex, multifaceted policy environments.

Across the years of successful work with the Meta brand, I’ve led my team to apply the brand system across every imaginable touchpoint, executing work for print, website, digital advertising, in-person events. Not only has this work been for the Meta parent brand, but we’ve also done work with their sub-brands as well including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus, and even the Metaverse.

The client work is often fast-paced due to the high-visibility engagements of the public policy team. I consistently adapt my team’s approach to balance efficiency with impactful design. We’ve developed templates for recurring and quick-turn projects, and dial in a more tailored approach when the occasion calls for a more show-stopping solution. This regimented approach has earned the client's trust and demonstrated consistent quality, leading to further opportunities with Meta.

The Results

Our collaboration with the Meta Policy team began with a $300K project and has since expanded to $8M of annual work. I’ve led my team to complete over 1,500 campaigns and initiatives across 80+ markets on 6 continents.

The work has allowed the policy team to interact with lawmakers at local and national levels, including engagements with the US Congress, UK Parliament, and the United Nations, among others.
